Getting Started

Open RCal from the menu bar and choose Settings. In Calendars, read the access explanation and grant full calendar access. Select one or more source calendars, then choose a writable destination calendar.

For iPhone sync, use a dedicated destination calendar in iCloud. RCal can create one for you when an iCloud calendar account is configured on the Mac.

Choose What to Copy

In Content, choose Full details, Title only, or Busy blocks only. Busy blocks copy times without meeting titles, notes, or locations. You can separately control notes, locations, reminders, declined events, and all-day events.

RCal Cannot See Calendars

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and confirm that RCal has full access. Also confirm the calendar account is enabled in System Settings → Internet Accounts and appears in Apple Calendar.

Events Do Not Reach iPhone

Confirm the destination shown in RCal belongs to iCloud—not “On My Mac” or a different provider. On iPhone, enable Calendars under iCloud settings and make sure the destination calendar is visible in Calendar.

Sync Timing

RCal syncs only while the Mac is awake. It can sync on a timer, when calendars change, and after wake. Use Sync Now from the menu bar to test immediately.

Removing RCal Data

Disable launch at login in RCal before uninstalling. To remove mirrored events, delete the dedicated destination calendar in Apple Calendar. RCal never removes events it did not create.
