Calendar Access

RCal asks for full calendar access because its core function requires reading events from calendars you select and creating, updating, and removing its own copies in a destination calendar you select.

RCal uses Apple’s EventKit framework. It does not ask for calendar-account passwords or independently sign in to Google, Microsoft, Apple, or another calendar provider.

How Calendar Data Moves

Calendar processing happens on your Mac. RCal does not upload calendar titles, event content, attendees, locations, notes, or times to Thalassa Softwaraki LTD.

If you choose an online destination such as iCloud, copies are written to that calendar and its provider may sync them off your Mac under your agreement with that provider. This is the user-selected purpose of RCal. Review your employer’s policies before moving managed work-calendar information to a personal account.

Data Stored by RCal

RCal stores your preferences locally in the app’s sandboxed container, including selected calendar identifiers, sync schedule, content settings, and filters. Its activity log is held in memory and is cleared when the app quits.

Mirrored events include an internal RCal URL tag so the app can recognize copies it created. RCal does not modify or delete destination events without that tag.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

RCal does not contain third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Thalassa does not sell RCal data. Apple may provide App Store and crash diagnostics according to your Apple settings.

Your Controls and Deletion

You can stop syncing, disable launch at login, or revoke calendar access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars. To remove mirrored information from a provider, delete RCal’s dedicated destination calendar or its mirrored events using Calendar.

Uninstalling RCal removes the app and its local preferences but does not automatically delete events already written to a destination calendar.
